Quality management

Quality management has always been one of the key factors for improving industrial production and has been the subject of several studies aimed at improving the quality of final products by reducing waste, reworks, and all possible defects. The quality of processes and products plays a primary role at the base of the most innovative policies in production management - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM).

When visiting a production atelier, it is easy to be surrounded by graphs on product quality, status, and results of quality policies, but how much does it cost to retrieve all the data to produce these graphs? Even today, the information is retrieved in an extremely manual way through systems that were created without a holistic architecture of the problem, instead focusing on meeting specific and contingent needs.
